About

Erika

Owner of J&E Homes, LLC

J & E Homes was founded in 2018 by Erika and Manuel Mendoza.  Erika’s passion for construction began as a child.  Her father owned real estate rental properties and she loved the renovations and repairs.  She always dreamt of becoming an architect, but her dad encouraged her to go into accounting and she oversaw the accounting for his business.  Now, she combines both skills at J & E Homes.  She loves designing a good flow to a home and has an eye for innovative home designs.  Erika and Manuel also own Loyalty Construction, a stucco installation company.  J & E Homes is truly a family affair.  Erika and Manuel have raised their family in Kennewick.  J & E Homes is named after the initials of their two youngest children and their oldest designed their logo!  To learn more, call Yolanda Milanez of Retter & Company Sotheby’s International Realty to schedule an appointment!

Yolanda Milanez

Realtor® at Retter & Company Sotheby’s International Realty

Yolanda is a native of the Columbia Valley, having grown up in Grandview. She then spent 10 years in the California Bay area but returned to the Tri-Cities in 2011.  It is such a special place to raise a family and spend time together outside almost year around. In fact the outdoor activities that Tri-Cities offers is a big part of what Yolanda enjoys most about living here.

“I love the river and the activities. I love Hiking Badger Mountain and taking my kids floating down the River.  I also love all of the parks this area offers.  I feel safe here raising my little ones.”

Her real estate career started in 2001, formerly as a loan originator. Working with clients on the financing end, developing the knowledge of that industry, seeing how it all works behind the scenes. It was intriguing and challenging and led her into the full time real estate agent career path.

“I still remember my very first client, she lived in Oakland, WA, we are still friends.  She came from a large family and she referred me and that was the beginning.”

Yolanda believes Real Estate is a fulfilling career for so many reasons. Serving people, seeing them get the home of their dreams, helping them navigate the obstacles along the way and answering the questions that can seem overwhelming at times as a buyer or seller…that is why she really loves it. She loves the people.

It’s different every day, you get to be a problem solver, a trusted friend and a professional listener to find out what it really is your clients need or want. Then you get to go out and get to work helping them obtain it. It is such a rewarding process to be a part of.

When she isn’t working with clients or showing homes Yolanda spends her time with her most precious gifts, her family. She is a mom of 4 children, and they spend most of their time outside taking in all of the activities….hiking, swimming, biking, floating the river, and listening to their favorites Latin beats. The Tri-Cities lifestyle is the perfect fit for Yolanda both professionally and to raise her family.

She is thankful to have found a career that allows her work with people in a meaningful way through home ownership and share her passion for the place she too calls home, Tri-Cities is really is a wonderful place to live, work and play.
